We Are The Most Dangerous Generation Of This Era

Our Generation has had no Great war, no Great Depression. Our war is spiritual. Our depression is our lives.
                                           .............Chuck Palahniuk

We are the generation that is depressed about everything in their lives. We, the generation between the ’60s to ’80s are depressed about our social, financial, professional, educational and above all personal lives.

We have a very few success stories but a long list of desires. We care for us and expect to have attention from the others. We are a complete failure when it comes to raising our children – the result is in front of us. The number of rapes, corruption, child abuse, women abuse, aged people abuse, murder and disloyalty has increased to a terrifying level.

And what we all are doing??? We are blaming our NEXT GENERATION! The generation that has been constantly suffering because of our careless and selfish acts.

When they are at the age of 10, we teach them “do not share your crayons with your buddies in school” and feel bad when they refrain themselves from sharing their 1500 Sq ft house with their parents when they are 40. We give them bribes in names of pampering and expect them to be honest in their social life. What level of hypocrisy is this!

From finishing their meals before their siblings to finishing their papers in the exam halls before their friends – every single time we are teaching them that their one and only motto is to become first; they have to trounce everyone else in their surroundings. We are putting them in an unseen race every single time where they have to be the winner, and after a few years we will start considering them "selfish!"

When a child falls at her first steps, we ask her to scold the floor but never let her realize that she falls because she was not walking properly. We teach her to blame others for all her faults from the very beginning. We do not try to prepare her to be brave and honest enough to take responsibility for all her deeds.

We never ever care to make our children feel bad or guilty or defeated; which are equally required to become a successful human being. All we care about their triumph; because we have never tested the real victory in our lives.
We want them to be successful; even in situations where success is not at all an option. We teach them to fear God but never ask them to LOVE Him. We teach them etiquette but never teach them kindness. We teach them to say “good morning” but forget to teach them how they can make someone’s day really GOOD. We give them Social Media but make them the most unsocial creature of this world. We try to make our children educated but fail to make them wise.

We TEACH them so many things but do not carefully watch what they are actually learning.

And after making all these mistakes, how conveniently we make them the culprit! We blame them for sending their parents to the old age homes, but never care to think that most of those homes were actually built even before their birth. We blame them to become a rapist but never teach them how to behave with girls in society. We blame them for being impatient but never show endurance to give them a second chance in their lives.

This corrupted generation is the production of a rotten cohort and we cannot ignore our responsibilities to make them what they have become today.
